Before taking each quiz, you should take the practice quiz. It is possible that some of these questions (or similar questions) will be on the graded quiz. When taking these practice quizzes, it is not necessary to send the results to the instructor. Basically, these quizzes are for the students benefit, they are not considered in the calculation of the course grade.
The student can take the practice quiz multiple times.
