ERIC Digest D149 This site helps teachers integrate children's and adolescent literature into the K-12 curriculum. It provides resources for literature-based lesson plans, aids to materials selection, online publications for and by K-12 students, and professional development resources. Children's Literature Resources: The Children's Literature Web Guide (Children's Book Awards) This site provides a comprehensive guide to children's book awards. It includes international awards, Canadian awards, United States awards, British awards, Australian awards, New Zealand awards, Children's Choice Awards, Best Books of the Year Lists, as well as other Internet information abotu juvenile and adult literature awards. Children's Literature Choice List 2004 This site has information about award books in the categories Books for Children 3 and Under, Picture Books for Children Ages 4 to 8, Short Books or Picture Books wtih More Text Than Usual for Younger Readers (Children 5 to 10), Longer Books with More Sophisticated Themes for Middle Readers (Children 8 to 12), Young Adult (Generally Children 12 and up), and Poetry. Children's Literature- Resources for Teachers Provides valuable Internet resources for teachers. Bookhive Your Guide to Children's Literature and Books This site contains hundreds of recommended books reviews in a variety of reading levels and interest areas. "Parental notes" are attached to some reviews to provide addtional information about the book. Users can search for books by author, title, reading level, interest area, number of pages, and even favorite illustrator. This site also includes a Fun Activities section. K-12 Literature Lesson Plans & Classroom Activities This site contains a K-12 literature collection of lesson plans and classroom activities by book title.
