On Saturday, March 1, 2003, Mater Dei Council, at its 15th Anniversary Dinner, presented a Chalice and Paten to Father William Finch, Council Chaplain and Pastor of St. Raphael Catholic Community, to memorialize our deceased Brothers. The Chalice and Paten each are engraved with "In Honor of the Deceased Knights of Mater Dei Council 9774." The presentation was preceded by a roll call of our deceased Knights and a special recognition of their widows. Immediately following the presentation, Father Finch blessed the Chalice and Paten and prayed for the deceased. On Sunday, March 2, Associate Chaplain Father John Hurley consecrated the Chalice and Paten at Mass.
