| Glue front axle blocks L onto under side of mainframe A. click to see picture |
| Stage two |
| Fold section A and glue firebox B to footplate A. |
| Stage three |
| Glue sections A1 and A2 into mainframe A, then glue front springs M into position |
| Stage four |
| Glue front springs M into position |
| Stage five |
| Glue chimney saddle E to boiler C. |
| Stage six |
| Glue boiler C to mainframe A and firebox B |
| Stage seven |
| Turn model upside down and glue rear spring N into footplate A. |
| Stage eight |
| While the model is upside down glue single matches into rear and front springs. These matches will form the leaf spring supports. |
| Stage nine |
| Place front wheel axle through front axle blocks L and glue wheels H and I to axle. Glue small pieces of matchsticks onto axle , this keeps the wheels aligned. The front wheels should be attached so that the wheel bosses H1 and I1 are off set by 90%. |

| Place rear wheel axle through rear springs N and glue wheels J and K to axle. Glue small pieces of matchsticks onto axle to keep wheels aligned |
| Stage Eleven |
| Glue piston assembly F to right side of boiler C and piston assembly G to left side of boiler C. |

| Stage twelve |
| Attach driving rods O to piston rods and wheel bosses. Do not glue driving rods. Glue sections F7 and G7 into piston assembly F and G. Glue small pieces of matchsticks around the end of the dowel rod in each wheel boss, this will secure the driving rods.. |
| Stage thirteen |
| Glue chimney D into chimney saddle E. Glue the two parts of section S into top of boiler C. Glue steam pipes Q and dowel rod supports into position. |
| Stage fourteen |
| Glue regulator pipe P into position and finish off with single matches on top of regulator pipe P. |
