Add a header and tuned pipe
the small canister type muffler can easily rob your engine of power. a tuned pipe will give your engine heaps more power and keep it running cooler. its simple to install a tuned pipe just remove the stock muffler and clean the engines exhaust opening. install a new gasket on the engine and screw on the header. when the hader is in place use heavy duty zip ties to hold the haeder and pipe together. hold the opposite end of the pipe to the chassis with a peice of wire. |

linkage setup
The carburetor is opened by a linkage attached to the end of a servo arm.If the linkage or radio endpoint adjustments arn't setup properly the carby won't open up all the way and your engine wont produce full power. To check your carburetor remove the air cleaner and pull the throttle trigger on your remote and see if the carby opens up fully,if it doesn't then adjust the linkage till it does. |

remove head shims
All engines have very thin head shims between the cylinder head and the sleeve. You can increase power by removing the shims or putting in a thinner one. It will make the combustion chamber smaller causing more compression.
To remove the shims you must remove the cooling head by undoing the screws, you will see the shims on top of the sleeve or they might be stuck to the head where it meets the sleeve. remove one shim (if there is more than one) and reinstall the head. if you do remove head shims I suggest you only use 5% nitromethane content
