| St. Colombus - 14th December 2001 Twisted Faith: (waiting on review from Mrs Faith) Ceramic HeLLmets: As soon as we saw them, surrounded by girls, carrying Darrells symbol stands, we knew it was the HeLLmetZ. They had went to the wrong hall, even thou I had gave Kiel the directions the nite before, so it was a good job we saw them, anyway they made it to the hall. When they got on stage they played 2 originals and Sweet Child O' Mine, without a bassist, which ''was the best music i've ever heard'' (a comment from smidy, Kra$$'s lead guitarist). At this point of their set the called me on stage. Speer striped topless, then the Hellmets played Lithium with sounded great, except for the bass solo, where I just frooze. The Hellmets played another 2 songs with me, then closed with Absent Reminder , which really got the crowd going (but when the Hellmets got of stage and left so did the crowd!!) Kiel sang great, speer played lead great and Darrell drummed great, so all the Hellmets where missing was a bassist, who had sucked away of with his dad's band! The Hellmets are the men, well the 3 that where there! This is the best (and only) performance I have ever been at, of the Hellmets. I can't wait till next weekend to support them in Hussey's, seee you's there! you ROCK!! Best band on the nite! P.S get a bassist that will play with you at your gigs Reviewer - Masty (Jonathan Love) 9 outa 10 XLI: Opened with Blink 182's All The Small Things. Guitarist gave the impression they havent been playin long, and drummer is out of time. Reminds me of our first gigs anyway, so work needs to be done before they go to another gig. Original song was pretty good, some bits out of time. Reviewer - Kiel Cathers (AGAIN) 5 outa 10 |
