Today Katsuhito has gone to meet Xael... we knew it was coming near for him, but I believe Enya-chan is quite hurt, behind her calm face. She keeps saying that she needs her grandpa (as she called him), that he had so much to teach her still... but I believe she shall be fine. She is really quite talented in our family profession, music, as well as spiritualism. Today as we honored Katsuhito's passing at his funeral and gave his ashes to the wind, to guide him to Xael, Enya became our town spiritualist, despite her age. And she sung the most beautiful song to Katsuhito's spirit! It had an Air spiritual key on it, I am sure. To be eight and use spiritual keys! Truly, Rasa's daughter... but she is also my daughter, and I am amazed. I feel her song should be recorded, even if only she can use the key. Here is her song.
Kaze to Tori to Sora ~ Reincarnation (The Wind and the Birds and the Sky ~ Reincarnation)
Itsuka mita yume no you ni
Suna no kuni wo tabi shita
Anata no kata no mukou
Chihei wo mitsumete
Like an occasional dream
We journeyed to the sandy country
From behind your shoulder
I watch the horizon
Shizuka sugiru hoshi-tachi no
Nagai nagai uta wo kiita
Sore wa kiete wa umareru
Inochi no utagoe
From too-quiet stars
I hear the long, distant song
It's the song of life
Which fades out and is later reborn
Itsumo itsumo
Wasurenai you ni
Kaze to tori to sora no kanashimi o
Wasurenai you ni
Always, always
In order to never forget
The sadness of the wind and the birds and the sky
In order to never forget
Ichido dake huri-kaeru
Tabi no owari no asa ni
Sono me ni utsuru watashi to
Hajimete deau
Looking back only once
On the morning of the end of our journey
I meet my reflection in your eyes
For the first time
Suki-tooru ishiki no soko
Sotto sotto hure-au
Yubi to yubi
Haruka uchuu no chizu
Egakareru shunkan
At the bottom of transparent consciousness
Softly, quietly touching each other
My finger and your finger
Draw a map of the distant universe
In that moment
Itsumo itsumo
Ai shi-aeru you ni
Kaze to tori to sora no kanashimi o
Wasurenai you ni
Tabi o hajimeru
Always, always
In order to love each other
The sadness of the wind and the birds and the sky
In order to never forget
The journey begins
...She says she heard it in a dream from the legendary Oclloan singer Arai Akino. I suppose something like this would have to come from a dream! Songs are eternal, after all. If only Katsuhito had lived long enough to see her use a spiritual key... but I suppose he did see, as a spirit. Perhaps she could never have done it so soon if it weren't for his death... I am sure he died happy, even though the pain it causes her. He will live a happy after-life, and with a song like that, surely a good lease on his next life.
In Katsuhito's honor,
Ayanami Ai
