Synopsis
Aunt Bee comes to live with the Taylors after their housekeeper, Rose, leaves to get married. At first, Opie has a difficult time accepting Aunt Bee, but she eventually wins her way into his heart. This episode sets the stage for the Taylor household for the rest of the series.

During his bedtime prayer, Opie asks God to bless his dog Gulliver. As a child, Ron Howard really owned a dog named Gulliver.
