Chronological History Of Prince Hall Masonry

The front cover of this issue is rather unique and special
as it renders a photograph of several brethren from New York to
include the famed Harry A Williamson (seated left). It is
special because with this issue we begin publishing Williamson's
Chronolocical History of Prince Hall Masonry, which was
published in the New York Age in 1934,

Due to its length it will take a few years to carry all of
the Grand Lodge histories that were active during Williamson'a lifetime.
When completed our members and subscribers will have one of the
masterpieces of Prince Hall Freemasonry.

Our l8th Annual Session was truly historic as the Prince Hall
Grand Lodge of North Carolina and M.W. William C. Parker FPS opened up
their hearts to us, It was without a doubt one of our better sessions.
Much credit must be given to Bro. Marvin Chambers and Sis.
Carolyn Torian as well as Grand Worthy Matron Covington for all
of their efforts on our behalf.

There were many highlights to our session, one being the
re-organized Lux e Tenebris Research Chapter which held its first
new format meeting. It will be minting its Achievement Medal in honor
of Harold A Williamson in the near future, The Phylaxis Society plans
also to mint the Dr. Charles H. Wesley FPS Medal once we can receive
permission from his family. This will be awarded along with our Phylaxis
Society Certificate of Literature.

There has been some changes within the First Presidency and
the Council of 459 which will be described in the Phylaxis News section.

        JOSEPH A. WALKES Jr. FPS
                 President
