I bid you and the ladies you escort a special welcome. I trust
you will spend an interesting and instructive evening with us.

To our visiting brethren: On your return to your own lodges I
would charge you to convey at the earliest opportunity, the
warmest fraternal greetings of myself, the office bearers and
     brethren of this District.

One who has heard the word "welcome" in this District can never
again be counted a stranger. Welcome is the keynote of
hospitality. It connotes open doors, friendly greetings,
harmonious relationships, and sincere handclasps. All of these
we extend, and bid you welcome.

Please give them a warm round of applause

                             --- ( 0 ) ---

WE APPRECIATE THAT YOU HAVE CHOSEN TO JOIN US THIS EVENING

(2) All PMs & PDDGMs who don't hold Title or Office in A Grand Lodge

I ONLY WISH IT WERE IN MY POWER TO MORE FITTINGLY EXPRESS HOW
HAPPY WE ARE TO HAVE YOU WITH US.

We rejoice whenever you are with us, or indeed any of the Lodges
in the 54th District, for we are assured that these events do
much to increase the unity of the Lodges in this area and link
the Brethren together in closer harmony.

Brethren join me in making them welcome

                            --- ( 0 ) ---

We wish the coming year is kind and good to each of you.

(3) All Heads of Bodies who base their membership on Masonic
     affiliation

THE OVERRIDING MESSAGE OR LESSON THAT I HAVE LEARNED FROM YOU IS
THIS: WHEN MASTER MASONs WITH VISION AND A DEDICATED SENSE OF
PURPOSE SET THEIR MINDS TO A NOBLE OBJECTIVE, THE RESOURCES CAN
     BE MARSHALLED TO ACCOMPLISH IT.

I'm pleased that organizations, such as those that you represent,
     exist and continue to flourish.

Even though, I sometimes lose track of titles assigned to your
officers -- I never lose sight of the fact that strong moral
Masonic lessons are taught and reenforced at your meetings.

(4) Would all ladies whose husbands have departed this earth, and
were members of our Fraternity at the time of their deaths please
     rise.

WHEN ONE OF OUR MEMBERS SEVERS HIS EARTHLY TIES WITH US IT SERVES
AS A REMINDER OF OUR CONSTANT DUTIES WHILE HERE IN THIS WORLD.

LADIES; ON BEHALF OF THIS DISTRICT, IT GIVES ME PLEASURE TO
CONVEY OUR FRATERNAL GREETINGS TO YOU, AND TO CORDIALLY WELCOME
     YOU AMONG US.

LET ME ASSURE YOU THAT WE THINK OF YOUR HUSBANDS OFTEN -- MANY OF
THE THINGS THAT WE DO FOR EACH OTHER AND THE COMMUNITY AT LARGE,
IN GREAT PART, WE DO IN THEIR FOND MEMORIES.

(5) All GL Committeemen, Grand Representatives, and Visiting
District Officers (i.e., DEO, DIW, MHA.... )

MY BRETHREN; WE REGARD IT AS A SINGULAR HONOR THAT YOU HAVE
CHOSEN TO SPEND A FEW HOURS WITH US.

YOU SERVE AS A READY SOURCE OF INSPIRATION TO US. WE LOOK
FORWARD, AS A RESULT OF THIS VISIT, TO INCREASED ACTIVITY AND
GREATER EXERCISE OF THE PRINCIPLES AND TENETS OF THE CRAFT BY ALL
     OUR MEMBERS.

(6) Visiting WMs

The term Worshipful is a great sign of respect.

I speak for all those assembled when I say tyhat you, Worshipful
sirs and Brethren have truly earned the respect of each of us by
your great devotion to your duties.

(7) WM of Lodges in the 54th Masonic District

It is a pleasure and an honor to greet you in this way.

I am looking forward with anticipation to many more opportunities
like this one during the year.

It is my ardent hope that the "Class of '93" makes the
opportunity to visit with each other often.

Do me the further honor of continuing to the East, that I might
join the Gand Master to welcome you with a strong handshake.

                             --- ( 0 ) ---

Please join me in giving these hard working and dedicated Masons
     a warm round of applause

(8) DDGMs

Masonry being a progressive science; Many pass from being raised
to the Sublime Degree of Master Mason through the various offices
and are elected and installed into the chair of King Solomon.

In due course a small number attain the highest personal honor a
Lodge can bestow -- By being recommended to the Grand Master to
     act as his personal representative.

My mentor, RW Bill Glascock admonished me to labor closely with
you. He said; that by learning to work with you in routine
matters early -- That later on, any crisis we might encounter
would be handled with the same spirit of cooperation -- and, he
     was right.

(9) All Appointed Grand Lodge Officers

     Welcome aboard!

To you Worshipful and Right Worshipful sirs we offer the strong
right hand of friendship and Brotherly love.

I consider it a personal stroke of good fortune to have you close
aboard. First, for guidance should I need it -- more importantly
that I might quietly copy and emulate the manner in which you
     conduct the business of Masonry.

(10) All Elected Grand Lodge Officers (except the DGM, if we were so
fortunate as to have him come)

My Brethren, I am pleased to have you join us this evening.

We have looked forward to your visit with great anticipation and
I assure you that it is a privilege to bid you welcome in our
     midst.

Your presence brings us an inspiration to labor for better things
     in Freemasonry.

(11) All Past Grand Masters

Most Worshipful sirs, I extend to you the cordial greetings of
the 54th Masonic District and express our deep and sincere
gratitude for your presence among us tonite.

The Masonic lessons that we learned at your knee have been useful
     to us.

We note with great pleasure that you each continue to serve the
     Craft you love.

(12) The Grand Master

We again greet you and again extend a hearty welcome on the
occasion of this, your official visit to our District.

We hope that the warmth of our hospitality will make your visit
an occasion long to be remembered by you and Voula.

I now request that you join me here in the East.

I symbolically present you with this gavel of authority over the
meeting as a token of the everlasting loyalty of this District to
     the Grand Lodge.
