July 25, 1994

TO: All Members of S.C.R.L.

We have several activities coming up that I wanted to bring to your
attention. It has been our practice to have one meeting a year in the
general San Diego area (we had our 3rd quarterly meeting at Point Loma
in San Diego on July 30) and one in the northern part of Southern
California. That "northern" meeting will be held on Saturday, September
24th at the Masonic Hail on Lakeview Road at Santa Maria, California.

Worshipful Brad White, our Senior Deacon, of San Luis Obispo, is
coordinating the program with the 310th and 312th Masonic Districts. The
plan calls for coffee at 9:30 am, meeting starts at 10:00 am, lunch at 12:00
pm ($5.00) and adjournment by 3:00 pm. Reservations for lunch should
be made with Wor. Ernest L. Bevilacqua (805/937-5050) or Bob Privett
(805/937-5352). SCRL will provide several speakers to bring us up-to-
date on the state of our Craft. We will also have available the masonic
books that SCRL makes available for your masonic library. We sincerely
hope that this event will be well attended by Masons throughout the
area.

In the past, SCRL has promoted an evening at Elizabeth Howard's Curtain
Call-Dinner Theater in Tustin. Again, this year, we have scheduled a
Twi-light performance beginning with dinner at 5:30 pm on Sunday,
October 23. The price of $25.95 includes a complete dinner, choice of
dessert, all non-alcoholic beverages, tax and tip. The production will be
SOUTH PACIFIC, one of the outstanding Broadway musical hits of all time.
Reservations, accompanied by your check made payable to SCRL, should
be sent to our Junior Warden Norman Leeper, 2097 Smokewood Avenue,
Fullerton, CA 92631. This activity is open to all members, their families
and friends (whether they're masons or not) and we are counting on a
good turnout.

Our fourth quarterly meeting of 1994 will be held on Wednesday evening,
October 26 at the DeMolay Building in Anaheim. This meeting will include
our annual Election of Officers and all members are urged to attend. If
you know of any member who is interested in serving as an officer of
SCRL, please advise me by October 15.

Our next "stuffing" party is scheduled for Saturday, August 20, at Buena
Park Lodge. If you have a couple of hours you can spare us that
morning, then please join us for coffee, donuts, bagels, a little work and
some masonic fellowship. The more, the merrier.

Please make note of the above dates. Your support is necessary to make
these SCRL functions successful.

                Sincerely and fraternally,

                Jay Rider, Master
