                             NEW SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE

       Effective with school year 1990-91 at The George Washington
University (GWU), 10 Scottish Rite of Freemasonry Scholarships of
$5,000 each are available to undergraduates enrolled in any school or
department of the university.  This year and for each of the next
three years, 10 such scholarships will be awarded until the maximum
number of 40 annual scholarships is reached.  Additionally, for those
Orients establishing fellowships for graduate study at The George
Washington University School of Government and Business Administration
or the Elliott School of International Affairs, the university will
provide matching grants in the form of tuition waivers.  These waivers
will be for minimum amount of $5,000 and a maximum of $10,000 per year
per recipient.  The university will commit up to $100,000 per year per
recipient.  The university will commit up to $100,000 each year for
these awards.
