Kailin "Spiked Chain" Dart
Kailin started playing D&D at a very young age.  His dad had started playing and was a DM while Kailin was a young young tad.  His first experiences were begging his dad to allow him to play and being shot down for being to young.  At 4 years old, this was a bit of a heartbreak to young Kailin so he and the other kids (whose parents were playing at the time) would make up their own D&D adventures and play under the guidance of the eldest kid, who was probably about 7 or 8.  The games were generally cut short at 9:00 when Kailin and his siblings had to go to bed.  He played in his first real game at around 8 or 9 with his dad as the DM and his mom and siblings as the rest of his party.  They played first edition AD&D and had a good time.  Soon after that, Kailin's dad began playing GURPS(TM Steven Jackson Games) and Kailin was intrigued.  He soon got old enough to understand the rules and began to play GURPS instead.  Then, his dad's friends stopped playing RPG's altogether.  Kailin and his young friends began playing GURPS on their own.  Soon, Kailin's dad got the Second eddition AD&D stuff and Kailin switched to that game instead.  He had a brief stint trying to learn Shadowrun, but didn't quite get the rules.  After a couple years of 2nd edition, 3rd edition came out.  The generalized rules, easier to learn combat system and a gritty, new look instantly pulled Kailin in.  Now in his late teens, the game rules were easily in his grasp and he learned the rules of character making very quickly.  He still enjoys making new characters on the computer and on paper, and he has well over a dozen characters that have never been played!  He is Dungeon Master from time to time and has a pretty good knowledge of the rules, but mostly focuses on Character creation.
Kailin's favorite method of jumping in the pool.
Favorite Characters

Jack:  Level 4 human fighter.  Jack is a specialist in the spiked chain.  He is a womanizer, a jerk and a mean fighter.  He caused multiple group problems, even prompting one angry group member to hire an assassin to kill him.  He was resurected shortly afterwards and is now on a quest to kill the assassin.  He also once critically kicked a thug in the groin.

Silas, deceased: Level 1 human fighter.  Silas was also a spiked chain specialist (Kailin has a slight penchant for the weapon, not only because of it's utilitarian value, but also because of the aesthetic values).  He had great stats, accept his 5 charisma, and he once killed a level 3 fighter in 2 hits, one from his armor spikes and then a critical hit from his chain that severed the man's throat.  Silas died pitifully at the feet of a huge spider.

Spaz'nin "Gnomeslammer": Spaz'nin was a Halfling barbarian that I actually created back in 2nd edition (only then, he was a crazed fighter).  He had some serious mental issues and was easily annoyed.  When angered, he would flash one of his numerous daggers around, which generally just made people laugh, because there is nothing scarry about a halfling barbarian.  The nickname Gnomeslammer came from an incedent involving an obnoxious Gnome wizard.  Spaz'nin got tired of him and bodyslammed him.  The DM asked him to make the attack roll and it landed on 20.  It was a cause for great laughter at the D&D table.
