Our Thoughts On The D&D Movie, and It's Affects On Non-players
The D&D movie can be summed up in one word:  Disappointing.  As Players of D&D, we felt almost bad about being part of the D&D hobby world.  We felt that anyone who watched D&D who wasn't a player was probably a little turned off to the idea of ever gaming.  It's next-to-nill plot line, mixed with the fact that none of the characters were very cool (the dude with blue lips was kinda cool, but why did he have blue lips?  Was he an Aquatic Elf?) made the movie a little painful to sit through.  And why weren't any of the REALLY cool new 3rd edition weapons used?  We wanted to see some sweet sweet Jackie Chan moves with the Spiked Chain VS maybe a Dire flail. It needed to be an epic mover too, maybe have the dude who composed for Gladiator come in and write some sweet tunes. They definitely should have included some of the more interesting monsters and lands too! Anyway, just though we should tell the world what exactly the D&D-ers thought of the Movie.
