Here I am, I sit alone on a bench in a crowded park. I smile, looking for one in return. Nothing. I wonder where the heart is anymore. But I still feel it. The friendship I have between the earth and myself, between all the living things; the kinship of the wolf and myself; the bond between the falcon and I. I love nature. I stroll along the park, leaving the bench behind me, and the places where no smile is to be seen. I walk toward a nicely wooded area. I smile as the birds chirp; the wind blows a soft greeting. I whisper back, Hello friend. |
