Without what seemed like a bad turn of luck for Dave Mustaine, one of the greatest heavy metal bands of the late 80's may never had been born. Originally, Dave Mustaine (the current lead singer for Megadeth) played guitar for Metallica. Unfortunatley, he only recorded one album with the band," Kill 'em All", before being kicked out for heroin use. Mustaine was not a quitter though, and soon created his own band, Megadeth. While at first in competition with Metallica, Megadeth soon pulled ahead in the late 80's. Ever since 1990, with their release,"Rust In Peace", Megadeth has been by far the best heavy metal band out there. All of their releases have proved to be very strong, and have stayed true to their heavy metal roots. Megadeth has proven not to give in to the commercial side of music, but time will tell.
