Extremely dissatisfied with the publisher's methods of advertising and choice of title and artwork (both of which the publisher asserted complete control), Maria does not promote her anthology, Erotic Dreams and Satin Sheets. Because of her experience with the book's publisher, Maria warns all prospective authors to seek legal advice before signing any publishing contract. The language of these contracts, she maintains, is often confusing and twisted for those who are not educated in legal jargon. She also recommends authors consider NOT publishing with any house which is owned wholly or in part by a LAWYER.
But she does have this to say about EDSS:
"This is a work of speculative fiction, and not intended to be sold as erotica."
