Hansuke Miyaguchi The Smiling Demon of Kyoto and Jina of the Western Direction Howl of the Devil Tiger
Hansuke's History: Hansuke was born and raised in Kyoto, Japan. His parents were both part of the Yakuza which operated around blackmail and extortion. Hansuke was able to lead a nice comfortable life. He loved to study about his country's history and become in love with all the old traditions. He also learned to love the famous nihontou (Japanese Sword). He had his father buy him one at a young age and his father then sent him to get lesson in swordsmenship thinking this will help bring more discipline into his son's life. When he was ten his father sent him away to a Prep school in hopes his son would be able to make it into a good High School and College to do him proud. Hansuke was a good student and he was excellent in history. He studied hard to do his father proud. He also kept up his training when he got the chance. He went along leading a normal life trying to do his father proud. He was able to get into a Tokyo High and he was able to graduate and get into a good college. To celebrate his parents brought him home. His father gave him a actual hand made katana for a present knowing how much he loved them and also let him in on the family secert of the Yakuza. They initiated him in with the Yakuza so to keep him close and to make sure he would never talk about the Yakuza. Hansuke began to dabble in some of the Yakuza dealings and he himself got an interest in the white slave trade as he saw the westerners as scum for coming and changing Japan from its ancestral ways to their own. Then one day while he and his parents were celebrating his graduation and small success in the Yakuza a gunman broke into their home and opened fire. Hansuke was shot but was still alive. He saw his parents beg for mercy only to be shot in the head. He cried out and lunged at the gunmen only to be shot in the chest but he pushed on and slashed the gunman across his chest then they both fell to the ground. Hansuke lay there bleeding as his life poured away from him as he stared into the gunman's dead eyes he smiled then everything went black
Hansuke awoke in a burning Hell where his soul was flayed and demons danced on his back and raked his face with their claws. The pain was great and so was his suffering. At first it was painful and his tears flowed from his face and he would scream both his pain and his rage. After a short time his tears and screams stopped and only his smile remained. The demons where a bit confused by this turn of events. They tortured him and made him suffer but he would smile through it all. As his tormentors talked about this he used this time to escape. He ran and broke free of hell and pushed back all those who would follow him. He awoke again this time back in his own body. He was in a coffin. He pushed himself free of his coffin and looked around. He realized he was in his family's cyrpt.
He looked around at his mother and father's coffins and only smiled he looked at their pictures as they hung above their coffins and he again smiled. He looked at his own picture and smiled. These were is last sane memories of his awakening as he soon after felt his Demon come out and take over his body as his Great Hunger over too him. The next thing he recalls is his return to sane and rational thought at the feet of a slender woman. She explained to him what he was and what she was and what he was about to become. She was a follower of the Howl of the Devil Tiger and soon he would be too. She taught him and trained him for almost five years. No matter what happened he always smiled. He was then taken to Tokyo where he served one of its Bishamon courts. He grew attacted to one of its Elders who too him under his wing. He recognized Hansuke's will and he saw the sword that his father gave him something Hansuke treasures. He taught him more about his powers and he taught him his own style of swordmenship something he learned while he was alive. The Hirazuki style. Hansuke took that to heart. As he served under his new master the Genji struck up again and attacked the court. This caused a major upheavel and Hansuke was forced to run. Lost with no one to follow he wandered for a while until he ended back home at Kyoto. He has an idea to try and find another court to join and devote himself to and then try and re-join the Yakuza to extract his revenge on whomever attacked his family. Always with his smile and rarely any other emotion that doesnt show a smile he has gotten the name the Smiling Demon of Kyoto. He also has named his sword "Oni Ittou Utsu" which means "Demon Blade to Avenge".
As Hansuke traveled he went back to his family crypt to pay his last respects before he began his travels again. Only to see that his father's grave was empty like his own. This confused him a bit but his answer would be soon answered. As he went to leave he was attack by his own father. His father also had a sword and as they clashed his father smiled. Hansuke was stronger at the time and looked like he was about to win when his father called on the powers of the Yomi and broke his prized sword. His father laughed and asked him to join him on the true path of the Demon not to become Demons but to worship them for power. Hansuke fought back his own Demon as his father moved in to attack. His old mentor came to his aid and fought back his father who retreated. Hansuke realized what his father had become and only smiled while inside he wanted to scream out in rage.
His old mentor decided to take her pupil back to make sure he doesnt fall and to help him become stronger against anything his father can throw. She also warned him to keep this a secert and let no one know. They traveled together once again. On one trip Hansuke and Sisuki his mentor was forced to take out one of his father's mortal pawns. This pawn was a worker under a Sony VP and had stolen his sword to fight with and the sword almost seemed like it did not want to fight. Once they had taken care the sword seemed to have its own soul something that Hansuke was attracted to. When Hansuke picked up the sword he heard a spirit begin to talk him. It was a Nushi by the name of Lady Yukio. She allowed him to weild her blade as he was polite and she found his smile pleasent. It took him a while to get fully adjusted to the blade and the spirit within. Even though she accepted him he was required to always be polite in her presence. After a few months he has gotten adjusted to her and growed attacted to his blade and named the blade after his old one with something new added. "Oni Ittou Shan Keishuu Utsu" which means "Demon Blade of the Beautiful Accomplished Lady to Avenge" but he still calls it "Oni Ittou Utsu" in honor of his first prized sword.
Hansuke and his mentor Sisuki went from town to town doing jobs for the Bishamon and stopping the Genji always trying to keep a low profile. Then one of the Ancestors told them about how some of the Kuei-jin of other Ujis and courts where making an attempt to cross into the states and doing a good job. He told them to go and se what they can do for the Bishamon in the U.S. Hansuke wanted to refuse but he accepted as the Ancestor asked. So he and Sisuki travled to the U.S. and landed in one of the new hot spots for the Kuei-jin San Fransico. Once in the U.S. Hansuke joined the Iga Uji to help in his missions for the Bishamon and even though he is offically part of Iga he still looks down on missions requested by the Genji. Hansuke tries to stay to Japan Town as possible just because of the Asian population no liking to much to deal with the "Western Devils" not like he would ever pick up on his slight disgust because of his eternal smile. Sisuki has been staying more into San Fran to try and learn more about the Westerners. Hopefully all will go according to plan and the Bishamon come out on top. Hansuke has already began making some Yakuza allies to help him in his works as the ones in America do not know about his death. The currect Yakuza in San Fran has fallen under his Scarlet Screen. Also he hopes that maybe they might be able to help find out the person who put a hit on him and his family to curse both him and his father. So far the only information has been that it seemed like a Chinese Traid hit. Hansuke has made it something personal to help break the Triad in San Fran.
Now Hansuke works with Sisuki under the current Ancestor of the Court. Hansuke has become one of the leading leaders in the Iga and has formed his own Wu known as the "Kumori Hitokiri" which means " Shadow Assassins ". His Wu works directly for the Ancestor preforming anything from spying to as their name says right out assassinations.
Description
He would like to carry the Oni Ittou Utsu with him so he puts it in a duffel bag and slings it over his shoulder when he goes out.
