Polychroma is the result of a slight mix-up in reality management. During a rather bizarre incident involving two Elvii, a number of heroes, and a couple of villains, one of the villains (Evil_Twin) was... misplaced. (A number of other changes occurred, the majority of which were gender swaps. It was a strange day.) Thinking quickly, a middle manager in the Reality Management office substituted a color-changing zebra for the missing Evil_Twin, figuring he almost never looks like himself anyway, so who's to notice?

Evil Twin's memories were spliced into the zebra's mind and she was plopped into the park's pond in his place. As everyone else attempted to cope with their own changes, the zebra's personality began to assert itself. After a relatively brief (albeit violent) personality conflict, Evil Twin's persona was shoved into the background, hopefully never to be seen again.
Over the next few hours, the zebra (who calls herself Michelle) discovered a few things. Not the least of which was that Evil Twin was a real jerk. The next discovery she made was that when her normally pink and purple stripes changed color, she developed super powers. Upon hearing that the changes that everyone had undergone would probably reverse within a week, she decided to make the most of her time and make up for some of E.T.'s wrongdoing by becoming a superhero with what little time is left to her.

Adopting the super-hero monicker (with a gratitude-laden bow to Donovan_Thorn) Polychroma, she set out testing her new powers and hoping to help Rid the City of Evil.

ChartreuseReally NEATO Bone-Spur Arm-Blade Thingies -- They pop out of her forearms (which hurts) and are about as sharp as claws. Their durability depends on whether or not she's using invulnerability at the time (she usually is).No
* -- Cumulative powers increase in effectiveness (normally double) when BOTH stripe colors are the color indicated. Exponentially cumulative powers have all numbers associated with them CUBED when both stripes are that color.
** -- Double-blue doesn't increase her speed or distance, but when it happens, she often begins floating without realizing it. ^..^
*** -- Double-gold occurs on two occasions: When she's praying rather fervently and devoutly, or when Eris takes control of her body.
She can often be seen in the SMT Park -- the place she was "born" -- or following Donovan_Thorn or Jet_Jaguar around. She has also developed a fondness for Ry'tal, looking up to him as a father figure, and can be seen pestering "Mister Rowe" for answers to life's imponderables. Recently, she helped participate in the rescue of SMT's local alien rocker Wilder, and she may start tagging along behind HIM as well... Pity the man.

Recent Developments


Since the last update, Polychroma has discovered that she was originally a spare body for the greek goddess Eris to use as an avatar on worlds such as the one she now lives in. (Who else would use a pink and purple zebra as an avatar?) She was allowed to stay and is currently residing in the Temple of Whatever's Crash Room and seeking employment.

Her newest hobby is a game called "Dog-Pile". And if you've never had 230 lbs. of enthusiastic zebra flying at you at 65mph, it's an awe-inspiring sight... And then it hurts. A lot.

Also in the news, Poly's got a JOB! That's right, Polychroma the Technicolor Zebra can be seen working the register at CoreRecords, in the SMT mall. Picture it for a minute... Okay, got the image? Weird, huh?

1/27/2002 -- Polychroma's first paycheck gets her an apartment. With the help of just a LITTLE divine intervention, it's decorated -- well -- strangely.
