Since you have been gone
The days go by slower
The nights seem much colder.
When I am alone I see your face
I hear your voice its the sound of grace.
I reminisce about the good times we shared
And often think about the burden you bared.
Nature was a friend of yours
Nature opened many doors
Hunting, fishing, camping
It was never IIt was always WE
And you always seemed to bring out the best in me
Together we will hike up the mountain one last time
A special place of yours and mine
Ill leave a part of you there
As well as the best part of me.
Ill return to visit you in the fall
Your spirit shall forever remain on that fertile soil.
Your golden heart will always shine bright in my life
I know you will always be with us
Me, the girls, and my wife.
