Thought they are not classified as a heavy metal band, but they have their own experimental music, which captures the heart of many rockers out there.  Gutiarist John Petrucci and friend John Myung started it all in 1986.

In the millennium year 2000, the band announced a comeback, and is currently doing a  nationwide tour.  Now, the band is officially with 5 members including the former guitarist, Atsushi Matsuura.
