Keep Moving On

you keep moving,
another stop sign,
you keep moving on,
and the years go by so far,
wonder how I ever made it through'

"Liz, Did you shake? Because I'm shaking! I don't know maybe this is a bad idea! I mean I'm only 28, I still have time to decide whether he's right for me or not! Why rush right? Liz, did you shake?" Maria said as she rushed around the bride's room in the church. She kept asking Liz question after question about marriage. Mostly because Liz had experienced it, Liz Parker was now Liz Evans. Yet Liz has never been happier, but Maria was still nervous.

Liz stopped Maria and put her hands on her shoulders. "Maria, calm down, and yes I did shake before I married Max, but when you see Michael up there standing at the altar, and you know he's waiting there just for you, I promise all your worries will vanish." Liz let go when she noticed Maria calm down.

She nodded her head. "Liz your right, I know your right. I mean who ever thought I would ever marry a 'Czech' you know. By the way, where is Isabel? For God's sake, I can't even find my bridesmaid." Maria complained as she fluffed her dress and made sure her veil was right.

Liz placed Maria in one of the seats. "Here, calm down for a moment and I'll find Isabel. Just stay here." Liz walked to the edge of the door before saying, "Maria, just so you know, you truly are a vision." She smiled at Maria who smiled back at her, and then she left to find Isabel.

Michael sat in a chair looking at his watch. "When the does this thing start anyway, I mean come on, just start the ceremony."

Max walked over to him and placed a flower in his pocket, "Thought you might want one of these." Then Max walked over to where Isabel was standing.

Isabel was leaning against the wall looking at Michael. "Well I'd be lying if I didn't say I was happy for you. I just never actually thought of you as a husband before. It's amazing how much a person can change since high school."

Right then Liz and the priest walked into the groom's room. "Ok, we're all ready for you Michael." Father Churning said as he smiled and walked back out to the alter.

"Oh Liz! How is she?" Michael asked as he saw Liz appear in the door. "I mean, she is here right? She didn't decided not to go through with it, right?" Liz could tell Michael was just as nervous as Maria was.

Max stole a glance at Liz, both reading each others thoughts about how once they were both in the same position as Michael and Maria, and they were just as nervous too. "Yeah Michael, she's here, and she's ready too, try not to worry so much. Isabel, come on, Maria is calling for you." Liz said as she motioned for Isabel to come with her.

After the girls left Max said to Michael, "Michael, before you go out there I just want to tell you, that you are doing the right thing, now that we know we can't go home, it's right to just live our lives as normal humans, Maria is the one, she's perfect for you in everyway and your perfect for her. Don't worry about anything, trust me, when you see her standing in the aisle, you know she's walking towards you and only you. It's a feeling unlike any other." Max brushed off Michael's tux to get off any loose dust pieces and such.

Michael nodded, "Ok then, let's go. Wait! Where's Alex?" Michael said before exiting the door.

"I told you earlier he's getting things set up with everyone making sure nothing goes wrong." He told Michael.

"No, wait, I'm here." Alex said as he crossed into the room. "And everything is all set, the rings are fine, the flowers are beautiful, I'd say this wedding is just about perfect." After he said this the three men headed out.

When Isabel and Liz walked into Maria's room they saw her there sniffing some cyprus oil. "Maria, I'm here, I was just with Michael making sure he was ready." She walked over to the bride and fixed a few pieces of stray hair and placed the veil on her head.

"Does everyone have their flowers?" Maria asked them. Liz and Isabel both held up their bouquets in response.

"Ok girls, this is it!" Amy Deluca stated as she poker her head in the room. "Now can I have a moment alone with my daughter?" She asked politely.

Liz and Isabel exited the room right after hugging Maria and telling her how lucky she was.

"Honey, you look so beautiful. I know your father would have loved to see you like this, and I'm so sorry that he can't walk you down the isle." Amy started before Maria shushed her.

She took her mother's hand in her own. "Mom, it's ok, I mean he left us both, don't worry about it. And I don't mind walking down the isle by myself, it sort of proves my independence, you know. It's going to be ok, I think I picked a good one mom." Maria said as she pictured Michael in her mind.

Amy nodded her head, "I know you did Maria, I know you did. Michael is a keeper and he's the one, don't ever have second thoughts about that." Once they both heard the music begin they both stood up. "Well Maria, it's time, I have to get to my seat, I love you." She said while she gave her daughter a kiss on the cheek.

A few tears came freely onto Maria face, "I love you too mom." She said while Amy exited the room and walked to her seat.

Maria took a deep breath in and watched as Isabel walked down the isle with Alex and then Liz walked down the isle and stood opposite Max on the altar, everyone was now waiting for her.

She breathed in again as she heard the famous wedding march begin. Even though she had a veil on her face she could still see Michael's face. Liz was right, all of her fears suddenly went out the window, and all she could think of was how lucky she was. Suddenly all her memories flooded back in her mind as she continued to walk down the isle.

//Flashback//
"Ok, That guy creeps me out!"
"We can never be there are a number of obstacles"
"He's what my mother refers to as a vibrator."
"We dragged your gross sweaty body across the desert"
"And you hug Isabel and Max"
"Of coarse we talk"
"Shouldn't we like talk or something?"
"Shh...It's ok, You don't have to tell me"
"Mom, trust me, he's a good guy."
"I guess this is it, we're off to college, I guess it's good-bye"
"It's been awhile, haven't seen you since high school, you look good
Michael"
"Maria, marry me?"
"Yes."
//Flashback//

Maria finally reached the altar and joined hands with Michael as Liz took her bouquet. Maria looked at Michael who looked at her, and with that look, they knew it would work out, of coarse they would fight a lot, but they'd love every minute of it.
