Chapter 12
Pacey watched
his father leave the B&B in awe. He couldn't believe he had just said all
of that, nor could he believe that everyone had just stuck up for him like
that.
Pacey- Thank you all so much, for
that. I'm really sorry about all of the trouble I've caused.
Bessie- Sweetie, you haven't been
any trouble. I'm glad we can help.
Bodie- Yeah. You were very brave
today, Pacey.
Pacey- Thank you.
Bessie- Me and Bodie have to go
pick up Alex at Bodies sisters house so we'll be back in about an hour.
Joey- Ok. Tell Lisa I was asking
for her.
Bodie- Ok, will do. Bye guys.
Pacey&Joey- Bye.
Bessie- Bye. If you guys need
anything, Jo, you know the number.
Joey- Yeah, but I'm sure we'll be
fine.
Bessie- Ok, bye.
Pacey- See ya.
Pacey and Joey
moved into the kitchen, where Joey started to make coffee. While she left it to
brew, they both took a seat at the table.
Joey- I'm really proud of ya
Pace.
Pacey- Thanks.
Joey- No, Pacey. I mean I'm
really proud. What you did today was so courageous and brave and I really
admire you for it. You took away all of his power. And you are staying here. I
know you told your dad that you didn't know if you would be, but
you are. I really want you to stay. So unless this becomes uncomfortable for
you, please don't leave.
Pacey- No, I love it here. I just
seem to be causing a lot of problems.
Joey- Not at all Pacey. We all
love you. You are no trouble. And if you say you are one more time I will hurt
you.
Pacey- I better keep my mouth
shut then.
Joey- Coffee's ready. Want a cup?
Pacey- No, actually I kinnda
wanted to take a little nap.
Joey- Ok, why don't you go take
one in the living room? I have the fire going, and it's nice and warm and
comfortable.
Pacey- Yeah, good idea.
Pacey got up
to go into the living room and was surprised when Joey ran up to him and gave
him a big hug.
Pacey- What was that for?
Joey- Just something I felt like
doing. Now go get some shut eye.
Pacey left the
room and got on the couch with a smile on his face.
About 15
minutes later Joey went into the living room to check on Pacey and found him
sleeping soundly. Deciding she wanted to watch him sleep by the fire, she sat
in the chair opposite the couch and watched him, with love and adoration in her
eyes.
