timeline-beginning of season 2. Andie and Jack came to Capeside but Andie and Pacey never went out nor did Dawson and Joey date.

Chapter 8

    After Joey and Pacey had collected themselves they decided to go for a walk and maybe do a little shopping. They went inside, got money, told Bessie where they were going, and left. They basically just shopped around town and browsed in and out of stores. At about 1:30 they decided to stop at a little diner and have lunch, which Pacey paid for. Then as they were coming out of the diner they bumped into two people who were exiting a store.

Joey- Oh, excuse us.

    Then she looked up to see that the two people they had bumped into were Dawson and Jen.

Dawson- Well hey strangers. Fancy seeing you here.

Pacey- I know. How odd that some people actually eat at real life restaurants for lunch. What is this world coming to?

Jen- So what are you two doing? I notice a couple of shopping bags. What's the occasion?

Joey- Oh, well I just picked up a couple of new CD's and I got Alex this really adorable toy he might like. What are you two doing?

Dawson- Well, my moms birthday is coming up so I asked Jen to come and help me pick out a present.

Joey- Oh, that's right. I already know what I'm getting her.

Dawson- Oh really? What?

Joey- Yeah right, Dawson. Like I'm going to tell you!

Dawson- Well, why not?

Joey- Remember Christmas two years ago? I had bought Bessie this cute little bracelet that I was really excited about and I told you not to tell her. Then I found out that she had to beg about 3 seconds and  then you told her what I'd gotten her. You have to be the worst secret keeper when it comes to stuff like that.

Dawson- No I'm not!

Pacey- Yeah right D. Remember in like 7th grade when I'd written Debby Lawrence a love letter and you let it slip that you knew who wrote it? She batted her pretty little eyelashes and you caved right in.

Dawson- Pace, that was 7th grade. C'mon!

Joey- And not much has changed Dawson.

Jen- C'mon Dawson, it's not that big a deal. People just won't tell you things. It's not that serious, is it?

Dawson- Ok, now you're mocking me!

Jen- I would do no such thing!

Dawson- Mh-hm.

Joey- Any ways we should get going. I'll see you guys in school tomorrow?

Dawson- Sure. Pace, I need to talk to you about something. Maybe I'll swing by your house a little later?

    Joey and Pacey exchanged looks.

Pacey- That's not such a good idea.

Dawson- Why not?

Pacey- Well I'm not living there for a while. Actually, I'm living with Joey for a little bit.

Dawson- What?! How come?

Pacey- My house was just kinnda stressing and I needed to get out for a little while. It's not a big deal.

Dawson- Well, why didn't you say something? You could've stayed with me.

Pacey- I know, D. It just all kind of happened.

Dawson- Ok, well maybe I can swing by the B&B later and we can talk?

Pacey- Yeah, sure D. See you guys later.

Dawson- Yeah, see ya.

Jen- Bye guys.

Joey- Bye.

    Joey and Pacey left quickly and headed back to the B&B.

Jen- Well they looked awfully chummy.

Dawson- I know;strange.

Jen- Oh c'mon and lets get lunch.

Dawson- Ok, but I'm telling you I have a weird-

Jen- Dawson, don't read so much into this. Now come on and lets go eat.

Dawson- Ok, lets chow.
