People are angry at the horrible things which the Nazis used for their advantage. Calling Jews a parasite and such. This is horrible, but it worked. Now America did the same thing, young American's during the 1940s were raised to hate Germany, to hate Hitler, to hate Japan.
Was any of that really okay though? Seriously, people get mad at the things Germany, which they are obliged to. But America gets off like everything they said was "Okay". That is fucked up. Double standards are completely wrong. Such as one Popeye Cartoon, "You a sap, Mr. Jap" Was it's title. They made all of that Japanese have bowl haircuts and try to kill American's. Isn't that overreacting? Or over doing something just to your favor? Okay, this is accepted by the masses of American culture. Even today it is okay. Why with all of the bad things being done to Osama and Hussein, between flash videos being posted on the internet and even dolls being made.
Where does the right lay though? Sure, America needs all the help it can get. But propaganda can be a horrible thing. I hear people talk about how sad it is how poorly countries in the Middle East think about American's. Yes, it is bad. But not all of what they say is lies. Many American's are assholes looking out for their own gain. Like they say, virtues are basically non-existent.
America and any other country is wrong in using propaganda to its advantage. Especially with the increases in communication within the last 10 years. News reach people to fast, and to many people are to stupid to comprehend what is fact and what is fiction.
If people are going to hate others for using deception to their advantage, they need to check themselves. Don't be hypocrytes you asshole Americans.
