The Snow Queen

     Once upon a time there was a wicked troll. He had lots of children. They were all ugly and full of mischief - Just like their father.

     One day he said to them: 'Look here at this mirror. It's a magic mirror. You can do a lot of mischief with this mirror. It will turn a nice person into a nasty person or a beautiful person into an ugly person.'

     'I've got an idea' said the nastiest of the troll's children.

     'Let's take the mirror up to heaven and show it to the angles. Then they will all be ugly and nasty like us!'

      And so the troll's children carried the mirror up, up into the sky. But suddenly the mirror broke. Thousands and thousands of tiny pieces of glass fell to earth. And if a piece touched someone, their heart turned cold and they became nasty and ugly.
