witchcraft
This topic arouses many
sceptics, but
it is also funny that
these same people
usually have some sort
of belief system
[belief in a magical
divine Jesus who
healed people and inspired
them to do
good and achieve is
quite popular among
people]. The witchcraft
I affiliate
myself to is the modern
ideas espe-
cially in the notion
of affirmation.
Although I used to practice
it a lot more, I didn’t like the negative
ideas associated with
it, so if I do anything that seems 'witchey',
it will just be the
influence of it rather the actual practice.
Affirmation works.
Most spells are simply affirmation – or wishful
thinking. Just
as if you think that you will fail a test, all
through your classes
and preparation think this and go into the
test thinking that you
will fail, it’s likely you will fail. And
just as if you did the
previous in a positive light, the result will
also be positive.
Affirmations on finding love or romance is simply
generating a positive
love energy that others pick up on and
react to. This
is the power of the mind and affirmation is simply
using the power of the
mind to achieve certain things. Sometimes
they may seem out of
reach, but the mind can do extraordinary
things. Although
some people consider this unnecessary meddling
hoping for good is hardly
a bad thing. Afterall, isn't a prayer
meddling in the natural
course of things? If one had faith in god
anyhow, would one need
to pray at all? Think about it. Spells are sometimes more elaborate
than this, but the idea is the same.
Whether the spell calls
for a certain coloured flower or candle,
the ritual in it is
one of positivity. Just as a athlete kisses
a lucky object or wears
a certain item of clothing it is simply the
belief in the magic
of it that allows the mind to achieve it’s
goals. So although
people will say a spell did not do anything for
them, really it’s just
a training of the mind to think a certain
way. So really
it’s just a label some people put on what others
do automatically – affirmation.
