dreams

If you’re looking for some kind of
explanation of a certain dream, you aren’t
going to get it here.  Dreams are so
personal that I believe no one could
possibly interpret it but you.  That is
if there is anything to interpreted.
Maybe it’s just because I’ve found
definitions and/or explanations of
dreams are either very vague [something
positive is coming into your life
or something general like that] that can applied to anyone’s life,
or the explanation is more specific and really, just a cute symbolic
interpretation of a type of dream.  And, because so many of us
are turning to the new age, dream interpreters are making lots of
money.  Sure it can be fun if you’ve nothing else to do to flick
through dream book, as long as you remember that it’s just for fun.

One thing common in dream books is that they will give you a list of symbols and their meanings.  However, symbols have different meanings
to different people.  A white horse for example had some beautiful
meaning which escapes me right now but something like love was on
the way.  But what if one had someone close to them killed by a white horse?  Their idea of a white horse would definately vary from
someone that had never seen a white horse up front and again if someone
had a white horse as a pet.  We are all different.  We respond
differently to different things and of course we think differently
and so how can our subconscious fantasies by catergorised and be
applied to everyone?  The only interpretations that have any merit
are ones that are directed at the overall feeling.  Rather than
symbols.  Or perhaps your own symbols.  Like if they say that
something in your dream was a symbol of fear to you well then that's
ok because that can apply to a flower - if you're afraid of flowers.

Prophetic dreams are interesting too.  Dreams that come true.
Throughout history we've had examples or stories at least of prophetic dreamers.  What do they mean?  A warning perhaps of what is to come?
Where do they come from?

I think dreams [my dreams anyway] are a way of working things out. Different scenarios that you've maybe thought of seen and triggered
in your memory.  Some people say they can control their dreams.  Now
that would be interesting.  Kinda like a suggestive subconsciousness?
How does that work?
