Sometimes when in contact
with
others – especially
those in power or
knowledge, it’s easy
to forget that
they’re just a person
too. They’re
not greater than you,
only more
experienced in a certain
area of
knowledge. It’s
easy to fall into a
trap of handing over
all your trust
and power to people
seem to have
authority like doctors,
scientists,
teachers, because they
should know what
they’re talking about
[in their field, they generally have a vague
idea].
But why should we? just because they may have some type of training,
hardly gives them the supremacy to choose what’s right for you. It’s always
going to be your decision – after all, if someone stuffs up, you’re going
to have to live with it – not them.
It is said that people
that are shy are so because of fear of
rejection. And
I believe this. Quiet people become quieter –
what’s the point of
saying anything when no body hears when you
do? It’s often
too easy to confuse quiet people and shy people
and sometimes they merge.
It’s important to remember, that
we’re all just people.
Nothing more. We all need to express
ourselves – sometimes
it’s easier for some than others.
It’s interesting, have
you ever met shy old person? It seems that
when you get older,
you learn that we’re all just people.
I love this quote from
Hamlet, it gives is a look at how endless
time is and that we
really don’t have that much value when in
living since we’re going
to die anyway. “your worm is your only
emperor for diet:
we fat all creatures else to fat us, and we fat
ourselves for maggots…a
man may fish with the worm that hath
eaten of a king,
and eat of the fish that hath fed of that worm…a
king may go a progress
through the guts of a beggar.”
