My little thought on economics

What needs to happen is prices in
all current economic situations must
decrease at a certain percentage
all at the same time several times
until the price of any thing is
very minimal and everyday necessities
are virtually free.  If something is
virtually free, the financially
stable will find it easier to help
those around them.  If there was
someone you knew or came across that was in need of something,
wouldn’t you help them if it cost you virtually nothing?  Although
the rich would still be rich, they’re money is worth the same
everywhere.  This is probably bad economics, but it ties in with
how a long time ago, people worked hard for the good of their
village rather than induvidual gain.  Of course if one works hard,
they will benefit, but by spreading out the profit, people will be
less greedy and more helpful to others as it will also benefit them
and others around them.

This no longer happens in communities in the western world, but
may do in other places.  Examples of people working together in
this society are family businesses where there is little or no pay
for individuals, other than keeping the business alive so that all
can eat, have shelter etc.  This situation can be used as a model
for our own communities.  People are allocated jobs according to
what they are good at and everyone benefits as a result.  Work
is encouraged, and because everyone has common goals, the
work will be done in the most efficient way possible.   Most of us
have been part of something where we can see a easier way to
do something but haven’t bothered to put it into action because
we aren’t passionate about the cause.  In this family or village
situation, people will work for the good of the community to try
and better the life and to survive.

Another idea that I’ve read about is that as well as this situation,
people learn from each other and gain insights from each other
and as payment, one might give them another insight or
message or do a job for them.  People would become more
aware of themselves and others and since there is really no need
for money, greed would only take form of knowledge or power.
People would be respected because they deserved to be rather
than their financial status [everyone is the same].

I don’t know if I have explained it very well, it’s mostly there.
Like any idea of economy, there are holes in it.  But it’s a nice
idea – back to the primitive…
