It’s funny so many people
inhere to a certain religion simply
because that’s the way
they were brought up and going against it
would be too much effort,
and suddenly they’re all wonderful and
going to heaven and
I go to hell. Wow. God works in mysterious
ways. Well, the
christian god does. I don’t know of any other god
that’s that cruel.
I’m sick of the whole concept that since I am
turning away from god,
I’m going to hell. If you have faith because you genuinely believe
in the merits of your chosen religion, good for you. But there are
so many out there that are there simply because it's effort to go against
the grain. and then suddenly they are pious and i am not. I'm
a hellava lot more religious than these schmucks are. just sitting
there going through the motions is not praiseworthy in my eyes.
Is it really necessary
for christians to stand at street corners and
tell me to become one
of them? Gee just by seeing them give up
their time and stand
outside in the cold pissing everyone off
while they mind their
own business is really going top summon
some top notch followers.
If anything, these street side
preachers have just
made themselves obstacles during busy
street hours, an annoyance
to shop owners by standing in front
of shop entrances, and
by distributing their quotes, prayers and
contact details on small
pieces of paper which are usually
discarded a few metres
away anyway, they are putting increased
litter on our streets.
What’s wrong with just welcoming those who
want to know and leaving
the rest of us alone? If their god is so great and so mighty why
does he need the help of these people. Isn't the act of this recruiting
just showing that their god can't do anything for himself? Well then,
no thanks if I wan't a half assed god that needs me to do stuff for them
and demands attention constantly, I'll have a baby.
