What christians don’t
really seem to
understand is the scorn
they receive from
others because of their
religion. I’m
not making excuses for
them, I myself
don’t particularly agree
with its
teachings and doctrines.
in fact
organised religion doesn’t
agree with
me at all, let alone
one of this size
and obvious flaws.
but the idea of
targeting christians
and mocking their
faith is really awful.
often this is just a reflection of the
religion’s own prejudice
and people going against the religion because
of it’s nature [eye
for an eye rather than turn the other cheek]. it
is an easy target -
christianity has so many faults. marilyn manson
has it right, he’s made
himself an excellent living by dogging
christianity and selling
the image of the anti-christ. the reason christianity is so easy
for us to target is because we have all come
into contact with it
in some form or another. everyone knows a
christian, and because
we have such easy access to this religion,
we have easy contact
with it’s faults. all religions have faults
[well, i’ve yet to come
across a religion without – let me know if
you know of one] but
since the other religions are less accessible,
and christianity is
so readily available it’s opened itself to
many people as welling
repelling many others.
