Fritz Von Erich's Iron Claw

Fritz Von Erich

Fritz Von Erich was one of the most famous gaijin (foreign) wrestlers in Japanese Puroresu history as a big rival for Giant Baba and as a master of "Tetsu no tsume" ("Iron Claw" in Japanese). NTV (Channel 4) had televised Puroresu TV programs in Japan at 8 p.m. on Fridays or on Saturdays from the 1960's to the 1980's. Of course, his popularity was beyond words in his home territory. He was loved, respected, and idolized by Texas "Rasslin'" fans.

Johnny Ace's Ace Crusher

Johnny Ace

The Stone Cold Stunner and the Diamond Cutter have some similarities. Johnny Ace had some influence in that. He had used the Ace Crusher since 1988 and created its variations. Actually, he was one of the most underrated wrestlers. He is still contracted with "WCW" until August 2002, but I hope to see him as a wrestler again.

Johnny Valentine's Flying Elbow Drop

Johnny Valentine

Johnny Valentine was one of Antonio Inoki's biggest rivals in Japanese Puroresu history. His Flying Elbow Drop was also called the "Flying Skull Crusher."

Steve Williams' Back Drop

Steve Williams

"Dr. Death" Steve Williams is considered to be one of the toughest and most popular gaijin (foreign) wrestlers in Japanese Puroresu.

Yoshihiro Asai/Ultimo Dragon's La Quebrada

Yoshihiro Asai-Ultimo Dragon

Gran Hamada, Satoru Sayama, Jushin "Thunder" Liger (Kei-ichi Yamada), Ultimo Dragon (Yoshihiro Asai), and The Great Sasuke (Masanori Murakawa) have fixed the lightweight division in Japanese Puroresu, which Tatsumi Fujinami gave light and heat in 1978 in Japan. Ultimo Dragon showed "La Quebrada" for the first time ever in wrestling at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo on March 1, 1990. He is recognized as a great trainer of his Toryumon both in Japan and in Mexico now.
