MAS
Veterans 4 - 4 USJ JuniorsFC
16 April 2006, PKNS Kelana Jaya
A spirited display by Capt Nik rescued MAS Veterans from the jaws of defeat against USJ Juniors FC today. He put the team ahead via a penalty, only to see the defence leaked in four goals within 15 minutes. After receiving the 'hair-dryer treatment' by Rosli Jaafar, the team finally bucked up and managed to claw back and tied the score four-all. Rozi scored the all important equalizer with his first goal for the team in three years.
MAS VeHowever, the day was certainly belongs to Capt Nik - his hattrick had not just save the day for MAS Veterans, but also lifted the team's morale for the Bangkok 7's Tournament next weekend. MAS Veterans could have seal the match in the dying seconds, but somehow the crossbar stood in their way, thrice, when the opponent's keeper was already beaten.
Sadly, no pictures were taken since the match was played in the pouring rain..
