MAS Veterans celebrated the new year with a new set of jerseys, thanks to the generous contribution from Delta Aviation. Two goals from Rosli and another from Capt Nik laid the foundation for a comprehensive win for MAS Veterans, and they could have triumphed even more handsomely if Rizal and Kadir were more decisive upfront. However, the gulf in class was apparent as MAS Veterans forwards repeatedly tore MH Crew defence open as Razali and Q were able to enjoy relatively untroubled game.

MAS Veterans manager Rosli was a happy man after seeing his side started the new year on a right note. Asked if it was the victory or the new set of jersey that pleased him, he replied: "Its the team's spirit and dedication...".
