THE MAGIC OF
THE NIGHT
Come with me into the night,
Where magical things appear.
We'll watch the lovely fairy's flight
And watch them disappear.
We'll listen to the frog's hoarse croak,
Echoing o'er the swale.
The night will wrap us in her cloak
And hide us in her veil.
We'll stand beneath the willow tree,
The branches sweep the ground.
Oh, look! The scampering fairies,
Are dancing all around.
The moonbeams dance upon the brook
And wonders to behold!
More fairies creep out from a nook
In clothing made of gold.
And now my dear, it's time to leave,
This magical place of light.
But we will venture back again
In the magic of the night.
