~Homestyle Turkey~

**Ingredients**

12 Pd. Whole Turkey
1/4 Cup & 2Tbsp Butter Divided
4 Cups warm water
3 Tbsp Chicken Boullion
2 Tbsp. Dried Parsley
2 Tbsp. Dried Seasoning Salt

**Directions**

Preheat oven to 350 degrees, Rinse & wash turkey.
Discard giblets or add to a pan if needed.
Place turkey in roasting pan.
Spread butter over turkey,
In meduim bowl, combine water with bouillon,
Sprinkle in the parsley
Pour over the turkey &
Sprinkle seasoning salt all over turkey.
Cover with foil & put in oven.
Cook for 5hrs or more if desired, depending
on weight of turkey.

~Mary's Mashed Potatoes~

**Ingredients**

2 Cans Chicken Broth
5 Large Potatoes
Generous dash of pepper

**Directions**

In saucepan place broth & uncooked potatoes.
Heat to boil. Cover & cook over medium heat
Cook until potatoes are tender.
Drain, reserving broth.
Mash Potatoes with 1 1/4 cups broth & pepper.
Add additional broth until potatoes
Are desired consistency.

~Apple Crumb Pie~

**Ingredients**

Cup Sugar
2 Tbsp All-purpose flour
3/4 Ground Cinnamon
6 to 8 Apples, pared, cored & sliced (6 Cups)
1/2 Cup all-purpose flour
1/4 Cup Sugar
1/4 Cup Butter

**Directions**

Combine first 3 ingredients , stir in apples.
Turn apples into pie shell.
Combine remaining ingredients together,
Cut in butter till crumbly.
Sprinkle over apples. Bake @ 400 degrees.
for 45 to 50 minutes or until pie browns.
Serve w/ ice cream or whipped cream.




~Pie Pastry Recipe~

1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
Dash of salt
1/3 cup shortening
5 tablespoons cold water

**Directions**

Pastry for Single-Crust Pie:
In a bowl stir together 1-1/4 cups all-purpose flour
and 1/4 teaspoon salt. Using a pastry blender,
cut in 1/3 cup shortening until pieces are pea-size.
Using 4 to 5 tablespoons cold water total,
sprinkle 1 tablespoon of water at a time
over the flour mixture, tossing with
a fork until all of the dough is moistened.
Form dough into a ball.
