When she started taking lessons with me about two years ago, we realized that we knew the same people, were often in the same barn, showed at the same shows...but never met!
Jennifer is an accomplished Equestrienne who has experience with different horses and disciplines. She started as a Junior riding her Morgan horses Saddleseat with her Mother, Elisabeth her biggest supporter as well as coach. She switched to Dressage a few years ago when she bought a Thoroughbred gelding named PJ. PJ, at a fairly young age had a long list of accomplishments, including racing and western. Jennifer schooled and reschooled PJ, and they progressed up through the levels, but not without tribulation.
Injuries, physical and mental issues made for slow going at times. But Jen perservered, and showed him through Second Level.
When she decided to retire him, she went on a buying trip and purchased a Morgan baby (back to her roots!). She, with Elisabeth's help, has raised him up slowly and very carefully, so as to have a good base education. It's worked well. Last year they went and bought another one!
Daz is almost five now, and has begun shipping in for lessons. The trip and lessons away from home are good for him, as he will slowly hit the showing trail this spring, both under saddle and Sport Horse Divisions.
