Hanne has a full life with family and horses and juggles well. She took lessons for a while, and we soon realized that although her horse had lots of potential, he was lacking in the Basics Departmet. She sent 'Bud' to me for training and when I sent him back home, the pair were much happier.
Bud, aka Talisman was a young, exhuberent Arabian gelding with beautiful movement for dressage. Hanne had raised him from a baby, but sometimes, it's just easier for the kids to be good for strangers than for their parents!
Bud easily learned to concentrate on his job, respect his rider and take care of us humans...us being the higher life form was a concept that he had some trouble with! But learn, he did.
Hanne showed him last summer with great scores...she even broke 70%! (Like I said, he's a good mover!) Her daughter Sarah also won on Bud for her High School Equestrian Team.
Hopefully, it wll be easier for Hanne & Bud to join us in the States this year. With heightened security, it's difficult to travel across the border with horses.
