He said he was living it up in Bangkok.’ Cat was watching Law and Order: Criminal Intent. Her mom was on a date and had left money for food, she had ordered Italian. Buzz! Buzz! Buzz! Came the intercom, she wandered over and pressed the button. "Come on up." She waited for the person who was bringing her food. The guy wandered up and handed her the food. "Oh, an officer gave me this note to give you." Cat raised a brow. "Thanks. Here’s your money. Get going." She shut the door and moved to the sofa. Putting her food out on the coffeetable and opened the note slowly. I’m watching you. Is all the note had written on it, she scowled and then growled and put it in a shoebox for safekeeping. "Whatever."

She scoffed and ate her dinner. Tossing out the packages after she was done, and shut off the TV Moving into her bedroom, she jumped as her cellphone rang and she caught her breath as she answered it. "Hello?" "Cat, its Jane. Your Parole Officer, listen I just received a call from the 55th precinct." "From who?" "Uh…an Officer Boscorelli. Asking if you received a note." "Son of a…yeah. I did. Do me a favor Jane, call the 5-5 back and relay this message for me." "Sure, what?" "Thanks, but no thanks. I’m watched by enough people." Thusly, she hung up and turned her cellphone off. "JagOff."

The next morning, Cat headed off to work and bounced around a little bit more. "Ma! Hey Ma!" She ran to her office and paused. "Officer Boscorelli." She scowled. "Stalking is illegal in all fifty states. What’s he doing here, Ma?" Her mother looked up at her daughter and handed her the house arrest bracelet. "Ah. Go figure. Same man who dropped the note off to my delivery man does the parole board’s dirty work." Cat wrapped the bracelet around her ankle. "Good Day Ma’am." He gave a smug smile as he left her office. "I’m watching you." Cat hissed at Bosco as he left. "Ma, there’s a Christmas Party coming up. Breangwen and Erika are going and since Kimmie is out of town with JoJo…they want to bring me along. Can I go?" "Fine. Just don’t forget to clear it with your P.O., okay?" "Thanks Ma. Mwa!" She kissed her mom on the cheek and went back to work behind the counter.

Cat took a cab down to Jane’s office to ask her; she ran up the stairs and hummed as she pressed the button on the intercom to be let in. "Cat!" "Jane! Hey!" "Nice Surprise. What are you doing here? You’re not supposed to see me until the end of the week." "I know, but I need to ask you something." "Uh-oh. Should I sit down for this one?" "Maybe." Cat sat herself down in the chair next to Jane’s desk. "Woo, okay so I know I need special permission to go out to parties and things of that sort, right?" "Right, why?" "My cousin Breangwen invited me to a Christmas party at a Warehouse one of her guy-pals is throwing. So, I need the form and stuff to get it signed by you, my mom, Breangwen and her friend so that I can go." Jane nodded and handed Cat the paper. "Bring it back when you’re done, wait for the confirmation letter in the mail." "Thanks Jane!" Cat took the paper, it was pre-signed by Jane and hugged her. She ran off to get it signed by her mom, Breangwen and her guy-pal.

A few days later, dressed in Levi’s Jeans ©, Lugz boots © and a tee shirt with Good Charlotte © Logo on it, Cat walked into Jane’s office. "Jaaaaaaaaaane." "Yes, Cat?" "Hey Cat." Cat’s jaw dropped and she giggled. "Hello Officer Davis. What brings you here?" "Just checking up on one of Jane’s parolee’s, yourself?" "Uh, returning this permission form." She handed the signed form over to Jane. "Now, I am off to work." "Oh really? Where do you work?" "Sal’s CoffeeShop. My Mom owns it." Cat smiled, and then left to go to work.

Cat bounced around as she helped out, washing dishes, serving customers, and busing tables and whatnot. Around seven in the evening, she was locking up for her mother. Removing all the money from the safe under the floorboards and the register and going to deposit it in the bank, not forgetting to set the security alarm and pulled down the chain entry cover and locked it in place. Skipping as she went to the bank and handed over all the money then headed on home. "Everything go alright?" Her mother asked as they cleared the table after dinner. "Yes, it did. Dropped the money off with no problem." "That’s good." "Yup." Cat wandered off to her bedroom and flopped down on her bed, kicking her boots off and turning on her CD player.

I am in the wilderness

You are in the music in the man's car next to me

Somewhere in my sadness

I know i won't fall apart

Completely

When i need to be rescued

And i need a place to swim

I have a rock to cling to

In the storm

When no one can hear

Me calling

I have you i can sing to

And in all this

And in all my life

You are the lovers rock

The rock that i cling to

You’re the one

The one i swim to in a storm

Like a lovers rock

After a while, she went and showered and got ready for bed, dressed in a pair of gray sweatpants with a pink panther logo on the back and a tanktop that had `I am the Cat’s meow’ on it. She adjusted the bracelet on her ankle and climbed under her bedcovers. "Stupid Bracelet. Stupid Cops. Stupid fucking Parole Board and their fucking agreements." She growled a tad as she turned off her lamp and went to sleep.

It’s all about our love

So shall it be forever

Never ending

After all this time

After all is said and done

We have seen some

Suffering baby

It has not always been perfect

After all this time

After all is said and done

Darling we know it

Whatever may come

We can get through it

As if it’s just begun

Oh it’s just begun
