“..Cat...” Bosco said in a faint whisper, remembering when she walked away from him after what had happened. He was in the RMP on the job as per usual, being the fascist bigot cop as always but Faith could tell his mind was elsewhere. Cat had left town after that, she was in the northern most part of the state with Mac in a small cabin to try and clear her head. He hand found out from just asking her mother who was happy to tell him. It seemed that Cat hadn’t told her mother, she was dealing with it in her own way without help from anyone else.

“You want anything to eat?” Mac asked at as he was making lunch. “No thanks.” She curled up closer to the fire with her sketchbook and kept working with the coal drawing she was doing. “Cat, you haven’t eaten the past two days.” Cat sighed and looked at him, “Fine. Then just make me a sandwich and some juice.” “That’s better.” Mac grinned and did as she asked and put the plate and glass on the floor beside her and went to eat his lunch. She had her hair up in a clip, with her bangs in her face as she drew. She ate her sandwich in between drawing and drinking and put the plate and glass in the sink to be cleaned. Mac got up and moved to clean the dishes and left some money on the counter for her and then went to clean up and change his clothes. “Have a date?” “Yes, I do. Are you going to be all right?” “Yeah, I’ll head back into town and get some dinner for myself.” “That’s my girl.” He chuckled and went back to what he was doing.

“So, what happened exactly?” Faith looked at Bosco as they were dealing out parking tickets. “She caught me, with another girl who happens to live in another building a family member of hers' also lives in.” Faith gave a dry chuckle, “Boy are you screwed.” “She clocked me Faith.” “What did you expect her to do, Bos? Bend over backwards to forgive you? No, she’s tougher than she looks.” Faith put a ticket under a windshield and moved on. “You’re enjoying my pain.” “Only because you brought it on yourself.” “Funny.” Faith chuckled again.

Cat sighed as she cleaned off her hands and went to work on something else. Why did she just keep re-drawing Bosco’s face in every page of her sketchbook? Wasn’t it bad enough she had caught him but now she had him stuck in her head. Son of a bitch he was for doing that to her. Shaking her head, she pulled on her boots, grabbed her coat and purse, stuffing the money into it she left the cabin in her charger and headed into town to buy herself some dinner and then returned to the cabin. Curling up on the bed way in the back where her things were. She had called Breangwen when they had arrived here late Sunday night and hadn’t spoken to anyone else but Mac since then. She started to fall asleep when she heard giggles and laughter come through the door. “…Mac…” She groaned a bit and moved to shut her door. “Hey Cat.” “Hey Yourself.” She eyed her cousin and the busty brunette next to him. “Don’t be too loud, I’m nearly falling asleep.” She shut the door in her cousin’s date’s face and locked it. “Ho-Train.” She made a train sound as she collapsed on the bed and curled in the corner. “What’s her deal?” The girl asked as they were getting ready to do it. “She’s…had a hard week. Found out someone she cared about was scheming on her behind her back.” “Well, that blows.” “Yeah, now he’s paying for it.” The girl giggled and climbed into bed with Mac.

While back down in Manhattan, Bosco’s shift was ending and he was back in the locker room getting changed. On his way home, he stopped by Cat’s mother’s place who told him they would be back sometime tomorrow and she’d call him to say when. The next day, he had a few things to run out and do, why did he need a ring and flowers? Got me! Around noon, Cat and Mac packed up their gear and headed back home. Cat collapsed for a while in her own bed before taking a shower and dressing for work. While pulling on her clothes, there was a knock at the door and her mother ran to answer it. She heard whispers and shook her head as she zipped up her boots.

“Cat! Can you come into the living room please! You have company!” Her mother shouted as she moved back into the kitchen. “Okay...sheesh. Who could it be? She never yells like that for…anyone…” Cat paused as she was at the end of the corridor and saw who it was. Bosco and he was in a tuxedo…she noticed he had flowers and tried to calm herself from ranting. “Bosco…what are you doing here?” “I need to talk to you.” “Okay then.” Cat sat down on the couch and he sat beside her. “I’m sorry that I hurt you and I want to make it up to you and I swear it’ll never happen again…” He gave her the flowers; her mother poked her head out from the kitchen to catch this. Cat’s eyes went wide when she watched Bosco get down on one knee and pull a little black box out of his pocket.

“Bosco…wha-a-a-t are you doing?” She was in a state of shock, okay? She didn’t think this far ahead I mean she was ready to drop him! “Catrina Smyth…” He opened the box and looked at her. “..Will you give me the honor of being my wife?...” Cat opened her mouth to answer… “Bosco…I…”
