| Mr. and Mrs Butler own and operate the Lisalotte Rest Home in Pittsboro, North Carolina.
I have "worked" on and off for the Butlers over the years (since 1985). We have become dear friends and I am considered part of the "family" when present. If I were ever in trouble and needed anything in life they are probably the family I would call. They have four kids of their own (now grown) and over 30 foster children that have made "home" with them over the passed 20 years. I have served their family when the kids were little and when the foster kids brought on extra duties. I Au Paired and became a "family member" myself as their home is always a place to share in the responsibilities of endless homemaking, and family meals are shared often. There is lots of laughter, crafts and hard work on the Butler "farm". I took care of the children on their property and even tended to their grand children (now grown). I lived in their home, and traveled abroad with Natalie and family members. I loved to cook in the Bulter's kitchen and show off some grand burrito or mid east meal, which Walter, probably would not even try. Walter is a "Country Boy" and he'd just as well have meat & potatoes and garden veggies. But, I did serve at his rest home in taking care of elderly residents and in the kitchen. I faithfully performed the overnight shift and when they go out of town and on family vacations would stay behind and "hold the fort down". Until the NC State Laws changed and I was no longer "allowed" ~It became that someone with proper "nurse" schooling do those tasks. I still loved on the elderly there with massage therapy, worked on their legs and feet, gave baths and cooked in the kitchen. Caretaker of the elderly and children while with the Butlers was the daily activity. They know my level of love and commitments and that I try to live as a woman of excellence. I would hope that you ask for Natalie when you call though. Walter may take a bite of his tobacco, sit on the front porch swing sipping sweet tea telling you how I "sabotaged" his tractor at least once a summer .. for every time I got on it something always managed to go wrong. I didn't really sabotage it, but he may talk like that about me ~ and you'd never be able to tell when he's joking or being for real by his straight faced ability to tell a story. I've known him over 20 years and I still can't tell when he's goofing off. |
