| My name is Leah Stewart. I am 17 years old and had the privilege of meeting Mary Mieres when she moved to Florida. Mary and my mom knew each other first through Lee County Schools, and my mom dragged me over to Mary's house to meet her. We've been friends ever since.
Mary has helped me on many research papers and in getting scholarship and grant awards for college, as I am a senior and a freshman in college (duel enrollment). She put aside many hours of her personal time to work on "mind boggling" papers with me that all resulted in A's! Although at times we would "snip" at each other, I knew she still loved me. (She has about a one minute rebound time!) Mary is a fun-loving BIG kid. She relates well with children and people of all ages. She has traveled all over the world and can grab anyone's attention with her dramatic and animated stories. I have watched her around the four boys whom she is an Au Pair for and seen, first-hand, that she handles every situation that arises in a reflective way. They love her. Faith is a very big part of Mary's life. I feel that she was brought into my life at a time when I really needed an eye-opener. Each day that I spend with her, I grow in my own faith with the Lord. Everything is done for a purpose and everything happens for a reason. That phrase has been clearly shown to me through Mary's love and light. All in all, Mary is an amazingly inspirational woman who I would love for everyone to come in contact with. She can light up any situation with her bright personality and sense of humor. She is hilarious. I guarantee you that if you meet Ms. Mary just once, she will put an imprint in your heart and life. She is one person whom you will never forget.
