Although I am Megan's aunt. I did not meet Megan's mom Mary Lynn until our biological father James, died in October 1989. I am the oldest of dad's surviving children, my brother James died in 1965. Our half siblings Roger and James were from dad's second marriage and Mary Lynn was from his third. I missed knowing them as children and teenagers and young adults. It took dad's death to bring us all together and, with our aunts and uncles we formed an extended family.
Although I am Dee-Dee's great aunt, I didn't have the fun of watching Megan as she loved her beautiful son.
Although I've only met Mary Lynn once, in the Spring of 1990, we have grown closer over the years through telephone conversations, letters and now through emails and IM. Many of those conversations were interrupted because Megan wanted to talk to me. Because I have grown to know Mary Lynn as a loving and nurturing wife and mother, I know, without a doubt, that she instilled these values into Megan. Megan's love of life glows in her sparkling eyes and open, wide smile.
Although New Hampshire and Nashville are miles apart, I know Mary Lynn and I will meet again, and I know I will meet my brother-in-law Rodney. I know I will meet Megan through her darling son James (Dee-Dee) I know I will meet Megan as we are all reunited around the heavenly throne of Grace.
With Love and Hugs, Alice Marie Stone Vosburg
