2K joined a telecollaborative Internet
activity called Fall
Internet Poetry Project which
asked students to write an acrostic poem on a fall topic.
Our class brainstormed ideas and chose the topic of
Halloween. We listed as many ideas about Halloween as we
could then worked together to combine them into an acrostic
poem. Read all of the project's Fall
Poems on the project web site. We
have posted our Fall Acrostic Poem below. HALLOWEEN Haunted houses in
the dark Good-bye,
Halloween! by 2K
We also each wrote and illustrated a Fall
Acrostic Poem as a follow-up to
this Internet poetry project and included them on our class
web page. We hope you enjoy reading our poems!
Apple cider, sweet and tart
Lots of candy in my bag
Leaves falling, crunch, crunch
Owls hooting in the trees
Wind blowing...scaring kids
Eating jack-o-lantern cookies
Every kid gets lots of treats
Now it's time to go to bed
