Grade 2K at
Richards Elementary School in Whitefish Bay, WI USA
invites you to spend "A Day in 2k". We chose to
record what a typical day in second grade was like
on Wednesday, December 5, 2001.
We made a timeline of the hours of the day from
8:00 AM to 3:00 PM., eight times in all.
Partnerships met to plan their part of the "A Day
in 2K" project and to talk about what they were
doing on that date at that specific time. They
discussed how they were going to work together to
write the text describing the activity and make a
KidPix illustration of their specific time of day.
Students wrote the text for slides in their
notebooks then worked at the classroom computers to
create the slides.
