Here in her own words is my sister's story:
This is Paulette in October 2000
I am a Walking Miracle
Hello, my name is Paulette Whittemore.
For the last 12 years my health was deteriorating. Then in the fall of 2000 my body became a complete mess. My heart rate was 174 beats per minute, I had a fever and pnuemonia. I was swelled from my head to my toes, pores in my scalp were swelled and numb. My stomach looked as if I was ready to have a baby. My blood pressure was 90/45, I was losing blood and was anemic.
I had lost control of my bladder and my bowels. I weight 85 pounds and they said after I was in the hospital a few days that I lost 20 pounds of water off my body which actually made me weigh around 65 pounds. I had a thyroid disorder and also a goiter. I had congestive heart failure. I also had ademia, which caused me to swell and something as light as a sock could touch my legs and they would break open and water would pour out and run down my legs, then cover over with scabs. My immune system shut down, I had no vitiams in my body.
Actually, how I was alive, only GOD knows. I believe He has purpose for my life. God has been so great to me. I am going to live for Him and tell of Him wherever I go. My voice was barely above a whisper but since He came into that ICU room and touched my body, bringing salvation and healing, I am going to shout it loud..........PRAISE GOD........I'm Alive.
Never under estimate the Power of God. When you think it's too late or when the doctor's shake their heads, that is when JESUS loves for you to surrender your all to Him and TAKE BACK what satan has tried to take from you. So you see I am a walking, talking miracle..........that some folks say don't happen today....... I Thank JESUS for you see, I know He is real. He is as real today as He was when He walked this earth and preformed miracles back then.
