| Update on Mary Beth |
| September 25, 2001 Mary Beth died peacefully last night at approximately 6:00 p.m. (CST) with Keith at her side. Mary Beth never regained consciousness after falling asleep at approximately 10:15 a.m. on Sunday. The neurological assessments done by doctors late Sunday night and Monday morning showed no brain activity. Each of the children had a chance to say a final goodbye to their mother. After life support was withdrawn, Keith had time by himself with Mary Beth. At the last, he was joined by others including Kelly and Patrick and Mary Beth's parents, Paul and Nancy Hudak. Keith told the children that they would never have a harder day in their lives. Through the generosity of others, Keith and the children expect to return by private plane late today.
