Truth Upon Her

So there's this girl I know
Been a friend to me all my life
I probably know her better than she knows herself
No, I'm
sure I see inside her

And it seems lately she's been sinking
Letting her pride weigh her down
Which is a dangerous thing
Life can get the best of her that way

But I wish she'd look inside her
And find that darkness that needs a light
It's very obvious to me what can be done
I hope she sees it before it's too late

And I could tell her myself
But I don't do that because it won't help her
And seeing herself with her own eyes
Is most important

So I'll just leave her alone to think
And run the pictures through her mind
And if she ever reaches out to me
Then I will hold her hand.
