| Because You Make Me Feel So Good (this poem is in response to another poem also entitled Because You Make Me Feel So Good) Deep in my heart Your stare comforts me. You make me laugh like I never have. And I'm laughing. I'm laughing because I can't believe you're there before me. You listen to my dreams. And you know more sides of me than anyone Because you want to. I want you to hold me As we walk along that lane In the late afternoon. I want to sit with you And talk forever. And be by your side When it gets dark. I want you to kiss me And smile afterwards. I want you to feel the righteousness. I want to be with you when you leave. I want to be that presence You feel around you. I want you to hold my hands And make them warm Along with my heart. I want you to see me Whenever you want. And I want you to know That my smile is because of you. I want to comfort you And I want to love you. I want to give you the world. I want to always forgive you The things you do And the things you say. Because they are all a part of you. I want you to be around me To kiss me. To accept everything I have to offer. Because you make me feel so good. |
